Salary negotiation often makes people anxious. It is rarely an easy conversation and can be intimidating to make a case of your own value. Many people may feel uncertain about their salary offers – is it the best that they could have gotten? Knowing how employers pay their staff and preparing for your negotiation goes a long way to maximizing your salary possibilities.

The Workshop

A job offer is finally on the table for a position that you have been yearning for. However, the salary offered is not up to your expectations. What do you do? Most people start thinking about salary negotiation only after a job offer has been given but to set yourself up for successful negotiations, you will need to start thinking about this well before the interview process. In this session, we will demystify the process for you, so you can be confident to go into successful salary negotiations.

Learning Outcomes

After the workshop, you will be equipped with the skills to plan and prepare effective strategies for success salary negotiations. You will gain more confidence and comfort in approaching salary negotiations, hence minimizing anxiety and fear. Know your positioning and strength to aid in your negotiation pitch and to ensure better negotiation outcomes.

This workshop is great for all participants who wish to understand more about salary matters, how companies pay their employees, and how to fight for the salary you think you deserve!

Class Size

10-20 participants per session to enhance sharing and facilitation of understanding.

  • Understand how companies determine their compensation policies
  • Determining your positioning in the negotiation and devising your negotiation strategy
  • Research and benchmark your position and salary range with the industry
  • Learn how to negotiate effectively with negotiators of different personality types
  • Drawing up salary alternatives in negotiation agreement
  • Identify bargaining techniques and diagnostics questions specific to salary negotiation
